Ask HN: What's the state of the art in home networking?

I would like to set up a home network, ideally with PoE access points versus mesh APs. I don’t need wildly complex configuration options, though I don’t mind them. It seems like Ubiquiti was the reigning champ for a while but has perhaps fallen out of favor lately.

What’s your setup, or what would you recommend?
