We are looking for a skilled and motivated Linux Level 1 Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, particularly Linux-based servers. The role involves providing support to end-users, resolving issues in a timely manner, and actively contributing to the enhancement of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers, appliances and VM’s.
• Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functioning of IT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing quick and effective solutions.
• Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement security measures.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to resources.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to optimize system performance and enhance system security.
• Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with hardware and software issues.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in Linux system administration.
• Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
• Perform routine backups and ensure data integrity.
Requirements:
• 2-4 years of experience as a Linux Administrator.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
• Linux server builds and decommission.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM.
• Familiarity with cloud services, such as Azure, AWS is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash or Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
