2 months ago, someone working on McMurdo station was hinting at the abuse and sexual violence in a small paragraph on her blog, to which HN commenters responded with "Can't even read about Antarctica without an agenda" and "turning this into a 'women good men bad post' really ruined it for me."
Honest question: what should we read from the words "sexual violence"? Is it someone was looked at the wrong way, or is it someone was raped? Or if just means anything in between, why don't we use more precise language?
The article is pretty specific, I'd say it doesn't use precise language in the title because it's covering a variety of reported problems that are detailed in the body.
