Well, it's certainly true that science and scientists are human like the rest of us. That is, subject to bias. It's an interesting idea that certainly seems to have merit. But given current "conversational wisdom" will it get an proper scientific consideration?
The situation reminds me of the commitment to an asteroid killing the dinosaurs, and that likely isn't the case. If you haven't read this article in The Atlantic it's impactful, to say the least. But no pun intended. If nothing else, science isn't always as scientific as it promises to be.
