Very interesting compilation of facts about music notation; the author rightly concludes that they all essentially represent the same thing and that one should therefore find a suitable representation of this information from which all notations in use today can be automatically generated. This is a difficult task, and one in which music theory should be broken down into a few central propositions, without all the orthodox complexity that musicology has come up with over the decades.
