I think there's not enough moderation on HN. A lot of arguably off topic links come through. I don't know about you, but I'm dead tired of culture wars BS as well.

I suspect you need to direct the conversation a little bit more than that to avoid getting flagged. It's hard to grasp what you are trying to talk about.
