I forsaw I would not click that link and I was right.
The number of "predictions" published to the web is enormous. Most of them relate to the future of computers and the web. Go figure.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of them are totally wrong. Probably nearly all of them. (Look at old news article from the 2000s making predictions about the web. Many are hilariously wrong.) Yet the predictions just keep coming. No one cares that these predictions are almost invariably wrong.

It's absolutely hype, sometimes it's misrepresentation or fraud, and it's designed to make money.
