I think truth is that only place in the worlf were official organization control the region kidnapped more more than 30 children.
In which the youngest celebrate 10 months in prison if he wasn't beheaded already
The modern history if the middle east shows that it's easier for them to kill and pillage than build and invent. Is it a culture thing or the nature of the people in that region?
I don't know, but looks like this has been going on since the Arab colonializm/Islamic expansion and doesn't look like it will change any time soon.
eh, algebra and algorithms were invented by people there. Agreed with modern history though; certainly post European colonization something broke. Especially as the colonization hasn't ended yet.
The breaking happened before European colonization. There are (as always) a lot of reasons, but most historians point the finger at Genghis Khan and the Mongols. The fall of Baghdad in 1258 is often cited as the end of the Islamic Golden Age.
The area was dominated mostly by the Ottomans until the 19th century. Only then did Europe begin to colonize it in earnest. (They'd been focusing on the Americas instead.)
So European colonization plays a big role in what's going on now, but it's distinct from the end of that period from the 8th through 13th centuries where Islamic scholarship far outstripped anything going on in Europe. Unfortunately, all of that broke down, and the world was much the poorer for it.
North Korea has ballistic missiles... the oppression and starvation levels don't have much to do with a country's military
I assume you're hinting at Gaza, oppressed ? I guess you can make that argument, but not that much. Starved ? At 25% overweight/obesity rate this is a comfy starvation
> The ballistic missile was launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthis, and flew almost 1,000 miles over the Arabian peninsula on the way to its target, the Israeli port city of Eilat.

The cruise missiles the US shot down were interesting, too.
