Hi, I thought that some of you guys would like to use Gnu Icecat, but don't have time to build it yourself. Here we go, and ask me anything about the project.
From the website, it looks like you've put together binary builds, plus an extension store mirroring many Firefox extensions. Is that right?
(I ask because I know what Icecat is -- a free (free software) distribution of Firefox -- but I was not sure what was notable about this site. But I realised that it was source-only and lacked the ecosystem, and you're filling that?)
That seems incredibly useful for lowering the barrier to entry. Great work!
Indeed, i have to say at first that Gnu cannot endorse me although they know that I'm trying to distribute binary builds and installer for all major platform, they are OK with that and using the product name.
I also make available the Icecat source tarball (a beast of over 1.2gb) for those who want to check it out and go from there.
The Firefox extension store you see linked in that site, is from GNU and is not a simple mirror but it is a curated selection of extensions for Foxy based browsers.
I'm really glad to know that this is useful, I've been working hard both on the update of Icecat from 102 to 115 (july to september providing preliminary patches to gnu) and also on the builds (still on it).

Thanks for taking a look and for your interest.
