I wonder why Japanese's software industry is so underwhelmingly incompetent. Like their bank apps have never been polished, websites are slow and require redundant click s, games are low fps, still not able to auto convert full-width text to half-width, gov websites use image as clickable button instead of hyperlink text, etc.

I don't know how other countries are but Japan seems to rely heavily on outsourcing, and big companies only hire project manager without any programmers. I am thinking this might be the cause.
