Labcorp Workers Say Productivity Goals Are Pushing Them to the Brink
I believe this. Just anecdotally I was waiting to deposit a sample for them to analyze. Their two employees were incredibly overwhelmed. In that time I helped about 50 or so of their customers input their sensitive data into their automated kiosk as the kiosks were confusing to most people. I am not an employee and it is probably sub-optimal to encourage a customer to assist entering PII and medial data. I was already skeptical of being there given their recent hacks and exfiltration of customer data so I helped the last person waiting and deposited my sample in their trashcan and left. In hindsight I am glad I left. They were hacked again shortly thereafter. This was the moment I broke free of the medical system and started researching and implementing root cause solutions more seriously.
