why on earth would you fuck around and find out after receiving a legal letter? That's the first and final warning. They've made up their mind and the next step is to crush you like an ant in a heartbeat. This is one of the biggest companies in the world, second to very very few. You are outgunned comprehensively. Profoundly. Impossibly. You trifled with powers you cannot even comprehend and frankly got away lucky. This was so ignorant as to be childish. You should be thankful. What this was is mercy. If Microsoft was ever to turn the full force of their terrible legal gaze and devote actual effort to you, then and only then could you say they had ruined your life.

There are a lot of things that I am legally allowed to do that I would like to do but can't because I'll be buried in legal proceedings about. All you did is discover one for yourself.

How did I mess around to find out? I did not know I did anything malicious, intentionally. Do you think I would put my full name, photo of myself, my about story and a link to my LinkedIn profile if I were doing something shady?

Did you even read my story?

I clearly explained I just offered a 3rd party service for reviewing others LinkedIn profiles which is not illegal or against their terms. There is a whole industry dedicated to this service.

The only thing I did was created a dedicated landing page for seo juice to my fiverr gig, that’s it. I’m not sure why they came at me so hard as I would’ve obliged to their request.

You know what you did. You messed with their brand. People get crushed all the time for impersonating a brand.

"I would’ve obliged to their request."

Well, you didn't. They fired the warning shot and you didn't move. You remind me all the arrogant people in videos of police who get warned about something and do it again anyway and then protest loudly when they get arrested.

I am not sure if it's satire or real. Hilarious no matter what...it was probably your domain. Even with your disclaimer you are still infringing.
Well, I did not know that. I didn’t think mentioning LinkedIn as part of my keyword would be some type of infringement as there are other webpages with the same content.

However, I would’ve changed the domain name or even took down the site if they requested me to. They did not have to permanently suspend my account, which is unlawful and unwarranted.

What is the infringement exactly?
I violated their brand policy. I’m assuming it’s because of the domain name.

I also say assume because I’m not even 100% certain.

It’s a bit scary though cause in their TOS they can just remove your profile and tell you to F off with no warning or explanation like they did to me…

Well literally any company can do that so nothing surprising there.

> having a LinkedIn profile is a necessity if you plan to do business or get hired.

I disagree with this. I've had LinkedIn for as long as I can remember and have only received one short-term contract on there. Indeed has been a million times better for me (for contracts and full-time positions).

Edit: I just finished the article. First, you're coming off terribly aggressive and threatening in some of your emails. Not a good look. If you did that to me, I for sure wouldn't help you - in fact, it would make me not want to help you.

Second, it's a single platform out of many. Your life isn't over because you got banned on a website. And obviously, don't rely on any single platform for any business you're working on. That's foolish.

My first email did not come off aggressive. I was just confused on what I did wrong.

Like I mentioned I never got a warning or anything. So, I apologized for what I may have done as it was never my intention and asked what can I do to fix it.

They ignored my first email, so I sent them another one the next day with the same purpose to figure out what I did wrong and it was after the fact that they suspended my account which is why I responded the way I did.

They ignored the second email, so I sent them a 3rd email to catch their attention because it’s unlawful to just destroy someone’s online presence with no explanation or time to comply cause this is how someone makes a living and connects with other professionals.

I’m aware of other professional networking communities but they are niche based for entrepreneurs like indiehackers and joinentre.

LinkedIn, is an industry norm when it comes to doing overall business.
