This is why I have a hard time with Astronomy. Why are scientists in this field so eager to "prove" things that are arguably not provable with our very limited ability to test our hypotheses? Why don't they just say "Our paper provides a theory that could explain...". I can't count the number of times astronomical "facts" have changed as new information arrives. Let's stop calling it fact and call it what it is "Our best educated guess with the information we have."
