This just proves my point

For comments at least, you can edit up to a certain time limit after the comment is posted. I think it may be 15mins.
Its either not enough (which it objecitvely is not) or it would lend further to the ostenisble purpose of this site to allow revisions, we can discuss the accountabillity or version control aspects later)

Edit: i get the post title thing is a little sticky and that I need to be more careful about keeping what absolutely needs to be the title/sticky with thaf which is helpful but non-sticky technically.

Edit: why not do what KeePass does and like let people update however they want for however long they want and just keep receopts like KeePass?!

They can offer: 1) Whole-sale edit: where you just nuke the whole response 2) They can cite their error and amend it transparently to show the evolution of thinking ([which some] non-narcissists may see some value in doing) 3) i wanna leave some space open for an alternative I havent imagineeered yet but that may full well exist and to whose existsnce I fully respect the plausibillity of)
You can already edit your comments? They give you a grace period of about 15 mins. Are you pissed when that window of time expires and you can't go and 'perfect' your posts?
