What is hilarious to me is the Liebert AC units are nearly the same design/footprint. When they went by, I was like holy shit, they are the exact same enclosure, down to the little rail thing in front!
I know this is all old gear and that in today's world, we could have 100 times the processing power in something the size of a fingernail. That's all great and super-cool.
I do however miss the big iron days. They felt more like pillars of processing than just machines. Green/Orange Screens. Serial connections.
Yes, we've come a long way and I appreciate that, but sometimes, I miss the days of the Data Priests and our arcane words of power. :)
