I was just greeted by the following message when opening Gmail:
Time to use the latest Gmail
Starting January 2024, this version of Gmail (Basic HTML Gmail) will no longer be supported, and you'll automatically start using Standard Gmail. Switch to the latest Gmail version now.
Sad to see it go. I was always pleasantly surprised that they kept offering that no-nonsense version for as long as they did.
