Ask HN: What's the future of advertising in a post-LLM world?
A significant portion of the internet was funded via advertising revenue. Users would get free content, entertainment, etc in exchange for giving up some of their attention to advertisers/marketers.
It seems the success of LLMs could change this model? Why would anyone go to allrecipes.com (ad funded) when they could get recipes ad-free from ChatGPT?
Is this the beginning of the end for ad funded publishers?
