Apple is one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world, and China is one of its most important markets. According to Apple's 2023 annual report, China accounted for 14.6% of its total revenue, or $42.5 billion, making it the third-largest region after the Americas and Europe. Apple also relies on China for its supply chain, as many of its products are manufactured or assembled by Chinese companies such as Foxconn and Lens Technology.
Obviously, Apple tolerates China's human rights abuses because of its financial interest and dependence on the Chinese market and suppliers.
Yes China has the brutal dictator and America is a liberal Democratic free land for all.
Maybe American propaganda isn’t always correct? Have you seen the coverage given to events in the Middle East in American media? The same BS Babylon Bee believes to be true?
So the tweet says "Communities of some people A push hate against people B"
I assume these companies are standing up for a moral principle.
The principle is that communities in general are incapable of hate so any such accusation is worthless at best or actively harmful?
Or is it that in the specific instances of A and B it is not true? But then it is a weaker principle because truth sometimes can not be known for certain.
