IANAL but I want to get a bucket of popcorn and watch him try.

So some groups groups have been noting (over many months) examples where Ad X appears next to Creepy Crap Y on Twitter (for example, content from literal Nazi accounts) and it seems like it recently came to a head in advertisers being spooked, and now Musk is claiming it was a "misrepresentation" and "fraudulent" and promising to sue for... something? Probably libel/slander/defamation.

If he does that, then the defendants could win pretty easily if they can show "what I said is literally true", plus the defendants may also get access to Twitter databases in discovery, and that could reveal (unless Musk has already deleted the tables/reporting-data) more information that might not be favorable to Musk.

I think there's a chance cooler-heads at Twitter will point out this risk, and Musk will have to invent some excuse for backing down his angry promises.

_______

P.S.: I wasn't aware of this before, but Musk already has at least one separate lawsuit already going on [0] claiming that using the website's search box and taking screenshots is "scraping" and "hacking" and a violation of the terms of service, so a defamation lawsuit may be an extension of that.
