Effective Altruism and Accelerationism are two sides of the same coin - the singularity cult.
Not everyone involved in AI falls under these categories, but many do. I hope that the media starts picking up on the fact that these AGI companies literally believe that they are creating a God. This isn’t well understood by the general public yet, and I don’t think the reception will be great when it is.
