I am having an increasingly hard time imagining 'jobs' existing in 2040 in any meaningful capacity for most people. I get the article is mostly trying to be funny but imagine thinking that humans can do AI related work better than an AI.
"Data training expert" sounds very much like what an currently academic does. For example, we have a set amount of historical data from, for example, the Middle Ages, and this data has been repeatedly re-analyzed, sometimes with the benefit of additional archaeological data.

I think the amount paid today far exceeds $1,000 per year.
