Ask HN: Resources for API Design

Any good resources for this? I come across bits and pieces on this topic from blogs, comments here, etc, but I don't seem to recall any canonical and comprehensive texts for good API design.

I'm looking for something practical (e.g. best practices, good security, etc.) as opposed to theoretical.
