I have no hope that civilization can grow much larger, with fallible humans in charge. It's like a million monkeys with typewriters trying to write law and regulation - only by accident does it ever work.
I for one welcome the AI overlords. Can't be much worse.
I would think AI is just going out-compete humans for resources.
Kind of like how Amazon wouldn't pay for AC for humans so they replaced the humans with machines but when the machines didn't work in the heat they bought the AC.
