I once imagined a dystopian hellscape where people were used as spare computers during their sleep to solve protein folding. Glad to see I wasn't too far off the mark. Anyway, add this to the techno-optimist bucket of billion dollar ideas.
I'd love to problem solve while I'm asleep, or do anything really. Don't see how I could write useful code though since I have no way of compiling it or transmitting it outside of the dream.
I have several times in my life figured out “algorithmic” problems and sorted out solutions to things (like a list of things to do next) while sleeping in a lucid state.
It’s really awesome when it happens but I don’t think it would be healthy and sustainable.
