The Netherlands starts realisation GPT-NL, its own open AI-language model (tno.nl)

I am looking forward to this development since the open source models are not as good in Dutch compared to OpenAI.

Are there models good enough in Dutch which we could use in the mean time?

Interesting to see whether they'll too might encounter the problem of lack of sufficient training data.

Very welcome to see this - it is fantastically useful to have a de facto global language but necessary for all countries to develop sovereign AI independent from the control of other countries
