I thought IQ was basically debunked as a whole concept? Is that not correct? Even if it's not, why should dogs need to be good at standardized tests? What makes us think we are some kind of perfection that we need to gracefully share with the other lesser species. Reeks of hubris.
You're not wrong. We as humans would fail many of the tests that they could give us, but would absolutely expect to be "the norm" for other dogs.
We don't really even want to learn their knowledge (smell that pee and determine who it came from, and whatever else they detect from it), so what makes us so sure they're interested in learning what we know.
We're pretty inefficient. I mean, look how slow we walk compared to what they prefer when you unlock the leash. They are not the same as us, and probably don't want to be.
