I'm not American but at least two of those seem politically affiliated board members and both to the Democrat Party. Feels like they're aligning with the establishment by doing this.

Anyone else troubled by this?

Even looking past the political affiliation, there's nothing in the announcement that highlights their credentials to this role. The vision of the foundation is to "reclaim the internet". There has probably been no time in history when the claim to internet has been threatened by corporations as it is today. These people may be qualified in their fields, have they ever done anything to show they understand what the internet is about and the threat it faces today?
Looks like nothing about technology and privacy are found amongst the new board members of Mozilla.

Looks like someone is funneling money to keep them “paid”.

Yep, with the summary of board members that i have posted outside of this comment, it looks to me like a money laundering is going thru Mozilla.

In short, Mozilla Foundation is becoming the post-de-facto shell-company under a guise of a real company, but for who? Where is the money flowing into Mozilla F. coming from?

There is no real concern for maintaining the main flagship, Firefox. It would not surprise me to see a 25% cut of Mozilla workforce soon.

And once Firefox falls below 2%, then the web developer pool for Firefox web browser will start to shrink dramatically.

Given the newest but seemingly inert MF board makeup and their lack of zeal to shore up this Firefox market share, it looks to be a certain lost cause.

Edwin Marcharia, biology degree with specialty in infectious diseases, McKinsey statistical analysis, and organizational efficiency.

Not sure what he can bring to the table of Mozilla and its further expansion of a web browser, notably with poor software skills.
