The 1 mistake according to the article: not taking responsibility. Past decisions were made (hiring) to align company with future goals, now new decisions (layoffs) were made to align the company again. Leadership should take responsibilty that the past decisions were wrong (or the goals)

Trying to monetize a podcasting network has repeatedly failed... but they are doing their best not to learn from history on that point.
