Being terrified of aging and mortality is a sign of immature mind.

The earlier people start seriously think about their future decades and inevitable death, the better for them. Everyone has the change to prepare their body and mind for a long-lasting and fulfilling life (e.g. avoid unhealthy habits and nurture healthy ones).

Some philosophers maintain that properly cultivated awareness about one's future death is one of the main factors that help to grow as a person and to build a proper attitude to life's joys and sorrows.

Maybe these aging filters are net positive for humanity, as they nudge towards more conscious life style.

Clickbait headline. People have a few mildly different emotions bubble up from seeing the remaining years of their lives slide off their digital faces before their eyes.

When something is divisive, it polarizes and fosters dissent. It creates anger and changes how people act. Annoying from the NYT.

Edit: double brain fart on my part I guess, I could have sworn this was an NYT article not WaPo, and I could have sworn the submitted headline was used in the article. I'll rest my eyes a bit before commenting again.

Title as published in the Washington Post:

>TikTok’s ‘aging’ filters bring us face-to-face with mortality
