FCC votes to ban termination fees for cable and satellite services (cnbc.com)

The only question is which two out of four commissioners voted against the measure, because they need to find new jobs…

The government is finally making headway in predatory junk fees and a lot of credit needs to be given to Jessica Rosenworcel (head of the FCC) for “getting it” and actually enforcing sensible policies around network neutrality and predatory junk fees.

Still no rule against them having a 4 hour wait on the number you have to call to cancel, followed by the customer service representative 'accidentally' renewing rather than cancelling your service.

The cable industry opposes it, which for me means that it's probably a good thing.
