Ask HN: Anyone know if the brr.fyi blogger is ok?

After seeing several interesting posts pop up here, I (like probably lots of other HNers) enjoyed following https://brr.fyi and getting a taste of life in Antarctica. I was reminded of the blog this week and came to the realization that after posting at least once a month for 13 months, the anonymous blogger hasn't posted anything since August.

The blog's About page indicates the author would likely be finishing their work in November 2023 so they've probably departed Antarctica at this point.

Of course it's just a blog and they owe us nothing, but I hope all is well with the author. I'd imagine the isolation of life in Antarctica, especially at the South Pole station is intense and can be difficult to cope with.

Fingers crossed that there might be a wrap-up post or some reflections on the overall experience but if you're out there brr.fyi blogger, first and foremost thanks for sharing so much already and I hope you're doing well!
