Ask HN: What does this "bubble" mean for me?

I was only 12 years old when the dot-com bubble of 1995-2000 finally burst. Now that I'm a developer at a venture-backed startup, I can't help hearing rumors that we're in yet another bubble (the latest being Dave Winer's "It's definitely a bubble" [1]). Since I haven't lived through one before (career-wise), I don't know what to expect if this so-called bubble happens to burst.

So what does it mean for me as a developer?
