Ask HN: Anybody else notice Reddit's VPN policy update?

Accessing Reddit for the last week or so on a VPN has been a pain. If I click a search result in Kagi or Google, it shows the message "Your request has been blocked due to a network policy."

The only way to get around it is by modifying the domain from `www.reddit.com` to `old.reddit.com`. Does this smell like the beginning of the inevitable end of `old.reddit.com` to anyone else?
