Extremely impressive given that BYD is effectively banned from the US market and only just entering Europe.

they count the hybrids(~50% of volume) at BYD as BEV's, without them they sold less...

Tesla sales 2023: 1,8M

BYD BEV sales 2023: 1,57M

BYD Hybrid sales 2023: 1,45M

For latest quarter BYD is bigger for EVs as well. And has momentum.
