Boeing Requests Boeing 737 Max 7 Certification Exemption over Anti-Ice Issue (simpleflying.com)

I think it's worth noting this certification exemption request from Boeing in light of the non-functional door popping out during an Alaska Airlines flight today. The airplane is two months old.

I suspect it is really hard to move a large company to a culture of safety after it has been steered toward cost-cutting for such a long time.
