One consists of an isolated product decision of a specific company (Twitter), while the other is something that jeopardizes any decision-making process and leads to erratic and haphazard actions.
I think that it's easy to undersyand why drug use is a major cause for concern for leaders of Tesla and SpaceX while they could not care less about whatever Elon Musk does with Twitter.
We survived a United States President who was drunk all the time (Nixon). Who cares, really, if Elon ODs or does something stupid, like Joking about buying Twitter... oh... wait. ;-)
I don't see what the bid deal is, except that it's a "hit piece", and that's an interesting data point in itself.
