Ask HN: What network effects can a tool developed for solo use implement?

In the past, I've worked on products that have built in network mechanics. Meaning that if we were successful at onboarding 1 person, then because of their actions they'd likely invite more people. I've witnessed quick product growth as a result of such viral effects.

Now I am working on a tool that's primarily designed for solo use. It is an article generator that specializes in high-quality, factual article generation. My ICPs are indie hackers and early stage startups that need quality content but don't have full time teams working on content. I am hitting the wall thinking of how to implement some element of network effects into the product.

Here are some things I've considered:

* have a free version, but in the free-version embed links to aimd.app [pro: backlinks if works; con: anyone can just remove those links] * allow to share drafts before publishing [pro: would expose the tool to some people; con: not enough virality] * referral program. not really a network mechanics * collaborative features. [pro: would increase number of people exposed to how product works; con: fairly complex problem, and cannot think of many use cases for it]

Not particularly happy with either of these.

What would you advise?
