Would this be new physics, or would this be because, as they get further apart, there's more dark matter between them, and so there's a larger acceleration than the masses of the stars alone would predict?
My understanding is that you would have to move out to the scale of galaxies to get that. And the distance of 2000 AU is only 0.03 light years.
