The humble compact disc has gone from relic to retro as Gen Z music fans look for ways to commemorate their favorite artists.
This is good news! With music streaming becoming the norm, it's been getting increasingly difficult for me to get high-quality copies of music over the last few years. I've increasingly had to resort to trawling charity shops and eBay for CDs.

Maybe Gen Z's media preferences will make all this a bit easier.

(Good quality) BD-R is a decent archival medium too
It was only a matter of time. Good luck to them finding unscratched discs.

Since that was the final physical media, we won’t have to do this retro dance again.
