That's a discrimination against cats!
This just feels... excessive.
> The company says that its AI-powered detection system is accurate more than 90 percent of the time, which means your cat could still get a mouse inside. But hopefully that'll happen a lot less frequently.

Could be 90% accurate and 0% precise if the cat doesn’t bring a lot of mice

Until now, I'd forgotten it was eCarnival time once again.
Is that a nickname for CES?

The usual giveaway for me (in recent years at least) is the announcements about transparent TVs

Let them give you their gifts!

God, AI is ruining EVERYTHING.

What if the mice isn't dead but barely?

More seriously, what happens if the company closes shop? Would the cat flap keep working? Will it keep detecting dead animals? What happens if the internet connection is down while I'm on a one-week vacation, will my cats still be able to enter the house or would they die of hunger outside? Because they won't eat the mice, they just hunt them for the fun of it, the little cruel beasts!

Probably better to not let your cats out to murder all the furry creatures in the neighborhood.

Oh, an IoT door that requires a payment? Someone finally made Ubik real? ;-)
