Amazon has already been flooded with machine generated product descriptions for a decade or more. Whether or not someone uses OpenAI, Python script, Excel or something else to generate the descriptions is irrelevant.

The backlash against ai is already strong, with companies getting rid of it. This will only accelerate it.

At least with human copywriters there's motivation to do work (the need to earn money).. looking forward to "AI" translators to sell me a hovercraft full of eels.
