Ask HN: What's your thoughts on the impact of AI on the engineering job market?

I’ve been seeing a lot of doom & gloom across communities such as reddit or some founder circles, so I’m curious to hear what’s the zeitgeist for the HN crowd. I can’t recall having seen anything this polarizing being discussed by so many people before, all the time. What’s your thoughts?
