Kudos to Brian! He was one of the earliest to see the potential and raise a lot of money from the best VCs. Even thought he struggled immensely to build a good tech team in the initial years and had a lot of turnover - a fabled story of two CTO’s fighting and punching each other in a conference rooms with glass walls made the rounds of Silicon Valley - and they built a tech stack that took many years to upgrade and address the tech debt. Despite that, and the fines and lawsuits from the SEC et al, he has managed to take the company public and release a slate of innovative products and stabilize the company. Crypto is decidedly not a space where you can build a tech company like Google but Brian has struggled yet managed to build a company and partnerships that netted him the ETFs as well. Remarkable turnaround from a tough start. And addressed a lot of the challenges post Covid layoffs.

A lot of people said Coinbase was toast but he’s managed to be the last man standing (for the moment). One has to respect and admire that.
