Oops, these scum terrorists are about to get whacked..
[flagged]
Semitic tribal warfare shouldn’t try to take global trade hostage.
Now listed as destination .. "TR ARM GUARD ONBOARD"?

https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9702508

Also general reminder that the Houthis are not "Yemen", but an armed rebel faction that has taken over part of the country and are sponsored by Iran against Saudi Arabia. There is supposedly a ceasefire in place in the Yemeni civil war.

They are not "Yemen," but they are the closest thing to "Yemen" that anyone can identify
Aren't they in control of the capital and something like 80% of the population?
Houthis aren’t Yemen the same way the Taliban isn’t Afghanistan.
They're literally named after a guy named Houthi, who was not, like, the 4th Imam from 875AD, but was alive until a few years ago. He watched Die Hard. They're a splinter from Zaydi Shi'a, which makes them a subset of a minority in Yemen, which is majority Sunni. The Houthis like to blow off steam by blowing up Sunni mosques. Unfortunately, the Arabian Peninsula boasts some of the world's least competent governments, which operate the literal least competent armed forces in the world, so a well organized IRGC-backed Shi'a David Koresh stands a good chance of running the whole show there.
This kind of comedy propaganda, while I haven't a/b tested its efficacy, strikes me as incredibly efficient.

"lol you mean the Houthis not only can't take out a cargo ship with their Iranian ASBMs, but also outright fail to launch them regularly?"

I assume the angle is to downplay the risk and impact, given the US' inevitable failure to guarantee passage security.

I don't think TFA mentioned the regular failing of launches.

What propaganda are you combating here?

> Earlier on Monday, the Houthis attempted to launch an anti-ship ballistic missile that failed in flight and crashed in Yemen, Central Command said.

I suppose regularly is a bit over the top, but forgive a boy some exaggeration for comic effect.

US-owned and -operated, but not US-flagged:

> The M/V Gibraltar Eagle, a Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier owned and operated by US-based Eagle Bulk, sustained minor damage and did not report any injuries on board, Central Command said.

I say let the Marshall Islands worry about it, and if they want US protection they can fly the US flag.

> Under the Amended Compact, the RMI and the United States agreed that the United States has full authority and responsibility for defense and security matters in and relating to the RMI

https://www.state.gov/u-s-relations-with-marshall-islands/

There's an argument that flagged vessels might not qualify here in some circumstances, but RMI isn't just some random country.

The US will do anything to intensify their military industrial complex. I don't believe this like I didn't believe their lies in Iraq. They saw that there's no money in Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza, but there is in Ukraine and now in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
Egypt going to be rather upset, insuring any ship that's going through the suez and red sea is going to basically be impossible at this point.

Meaning container ship traffic is basically going to end up at 0 through there.

Egypt who had been trying to stay neutral is going to struggle now. Egyptian pound is going to fly downwards at this point. Egypt sure not a fan of the Houthis or Palestinians now.

Meanwhile Israel has recently expressed a desire to occupy their neighbors as well as fully settling Gaza and West Bank after they are ethically cleansed.

They also want to create the Ben Gurion strait to compete with the suez.

Look up “Greater Israel”.

It would seem Israel is the root of Egypt’s source of problems.

>Meanwhile Israel has recently expressed a desire to occupy their neighbors as well as fully settling Gaza and West Bank after they are ethically cleansed.

I have not seen anyone say this before. That's a pretty extreme position that doesn't quite jive logically with the facts I know.

Israel quite obviously is a technological level above Palestine, they could have done this many times before. In fact, every rocket attack for years prior that was thwarted by iron dome could have been justification; but they decided on peace and deescalation.

>They also want to create the Ben Gurion strait to compete with the suez.

I havent heard that one is a very long time. That stuff hasn't be a thing since before I was born. And im not a spring chicken. I bet the Saudis would LOVE for this to happen though with Neom. Egypt will never consider

>Look up “Greater Israel”.

I am familiar. As a Canadian, I know various, mostly orthodox jews who oppose israel because biblically israel must be freely given. Which would be greater israel.

That isn't what's happening here though quite obviously and israel hasnt expanded their borders to any significance.

>It would seem Israel is the root of Egypt’s source of problems.

I totally disagree. Egypt warned Israel of the impending attack, though israel says they werent warned.

Egypt and Israel are probably the most friendly they have ever been today. Dare I even say Israel and Egypt are on the same side in this grander conflict which is obviously orchestrated by Iran.

Egypt rushed to build a rather respectable wall between them and Palestine and will be taking 0 refugees.

Hamas spit in Egypt's face. Egypt is quite respectably working toward peace and may actually be the best chance of peace for Palestine.

Pretty standard war at this point. Palestine will have to come to Israel with some major concessions.

Smotrich is very blunt about this, as just one example of many.

"Soldiers in Gaza saying they won't stop until their mission is completed: "Occupation, Expulsion, Settlement"

One of many such clips, most with a backdrop of flattening whole blocks with wired explosives.

"The Israeli military just blew up the University of Palestine in Gaza City with 315 mines. All the universities in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed."

Same thing with the supreme court of Gaza:

What more "concessions" is Palestine supposed to make here? They already get treated like people without any rights whatsoever. What more could they "concede" that hasn't been ripped from them already?
