Ask HN: Building Simple Tools for SharePoint

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with building (simple) tools for SharePoint online?

For example, the built-in SharePoint (online) permission management is very cumbersome (quite an euphemism:-)

We found [1] which seems pretty advanced (also the price). I wonder if it is possible to build a similar tool and how difficult that could be.
