I think it means that N people with sufficient karma (I think N=4) thought your post violated the guidelines of the site.

Please don't use HN primarily for promotion. It's ok to post your own stuff part of the time, but the primary use of the site should be for curiosity.

You're just submitting all of your own blog posts here to drive traffic. Looks spammy.

It may be worth adding that many people here will put the top level link to their blog in their profile should anyone be interested in following it. That avoids the spammy submissions but allows people to follow someones writing.
blogs often fail here, original technical content is premium. its a 'how to SEO' thing and im bet the biasing is different here, but i know a lot of people who take a very dim view of SEO tactics, its considered gaming a service.
