Ask HN: Web-based bot authoring games for kids?

My son (12) has never shown much interest in coding, but he’s quite obsessed with game AI/bots. For example, if you give him a car game with multiple AI cars, he’ll set up elaborate tournaments to play them against each other. He's not, however, had the chance to make his own with these games. (This might be a limitation of having just Switch + iPad games.)

I showed him the 1D Pacman posted here recently, and he was super interested in the auto-play bot someone wrote (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38848687). I wondered what sites or apps he could use to craft bot logic and have it play against his other bots or anyone else's. Could be any subject (races, tanks, sports, etc.), as long as it is things against each other.

I've seen this sort of thing pop up occasionally, but I can't find good sources now. I'm targeting the simpler, coding-in-a-website options.
