Hal Galper is a jazz musician famous for his teaching methods. My favorite take away was "You couldn't play it because you couldn't hear it... How many of you feel that you have trouble playing what you hear? You are all wrong - you are playing exactly the way you hear." I feel like he should have a bigger audience outside of just music education.
