Why wouldn’t they check his alibi before arresting him? Obviously it wasn’t crucial to arrest him right away because they waited until he renewed his license.

I hope this guy wins. The damage done by a false arrest and false charges is huge. The idea that someone can be charged based on nothing more than an accusation from a big company is scary.

Facial recognition seems to be one of the many, many technologies that are being oversold compared to the real capabilities. Maybe it’s time for the tech companies to be held liable for the failures caused by over promising.
