It means the ultimate enshittification of user experience on Spotify. Make no mistake, Spotify is not interested in a “better Spotify for Artists, Creators and You” - they are interested in every last drop of incremental revenue that they can squeeze from users. They lists sight of their core mission and are no longer a music platform, they are an “audio everything” platform because it’s the only way they can possibly hope to make money.
Spotify stopped improving about 8 years ago, and has only been enshittifying since. This allows for even more of that. I miss having a decent music app.
I, for one, am looking forward to paying 30% less for Spotify.
